This song was written as I was coming out of very difficult time in my personal life. It literally felt like I had been walking through a hurricane for months on end. When I realized that the hurricane wasn?t going to be ending soon, I somehow had to find a way to walk my way through it, instead of around it, and that was the basis for the song. I think that a lot of people can relate to this feeling, especially during the difficult times we are faced with today.
We fly, across the whipped cream sky
We sing, to the beauty that this day brings
We dance, like nobody's watching
We fall, pick ourselves back up, and stand tall

All of my life, I've been hiding from this pain
Under this blanket, that is sheltered from the rain
But my virgin skin aches, for the warmth of the sun's refrain
As I leap feet first and willing, into this hurricane

I fell, onto the concrete gravel
I was battered and beaten into a million tiny pieces
And they were scattered so far, that I could hardly find them
And I am left to wonder if I'll ever feel at peace again

All of my life, I've been hiding from this pain
Under this blanket, that is sheltered from the rain
But my virgin skin aches, for the warmth of the sun's refrain
As I leap feet first and willing, into this hurricane

So I pause for a moment, look up from my little life
And I can hear a voice calling, to embrace this world's strife
Because we are all suffering, we are all feeling this pain
So let's march feet first and willing, into this hurricane

All of my life, I've been hiding from this pain
Under this blanket, that is sheltered from the rain
But my virgin skin aches, for the warmth of the sun's refrain
As I leap feet first and willing, into this hurricane

Into this hurricane, into this hurricane
Into this hurricane, into this hurricane
